ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
I am a graduate of Elon University with a B.A. in Strategic Communications and a Minor in Business Administration. My academic experience also includes studies in cinematography, arts, and design. I aim to pursue a career in public relations or digital marketing—fields where I can contribute creatively while continuing to grow professionally. CAREER EXPERIENCE Currently, I work at Highlight Technologies as a contractor for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Prior to this, I served as a Press and Digital Assistant for Representative Adam Schiff. During my time on Capitol Hill, I was responsible for drafting press releases, managing social media content, and writing speeches. Before my time in Congress, I worked at SKDK and CRAFT Media Digital, two leading public affairs and political consulting firms in Washington, D.C. I collaborated with public relations teams on campaigns for Representative Shontel Brown and Governor Wes Moore. I also created social media content in support of the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State (DASS). |
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
To supplement my academic work, I served as the President and Parliamentarian of the Elon Chapter of the North Carolina State Legislature (NCSL). This position gave me the unique opportunity to represent the University during NCSL events on the North Carolina House Floor. As President, I ensured that the Chapter meetings were well-attended, efficient, and authentic to the official House Floor proceedings. In addition, by upholding my role as Parliamentarian, I enforced the North Carolina Constitution and promoted the submission of several bills to the House Floor. I also spent a significant amount of time exhaustively researching, preparing for, and executing floor debates. This experience allowed me to further develop a passion for debate that I had previously pursued as the President of my high school debate club. Although state constitutional policy is not explicitly related to public relations and marketing, debate and the Elon NCSL have refined my public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. These skills will make me a more flexible, confident, and outgoing addition to your team, and I am excited to continue exploring similar passions in the future. |
Alongside earning a B.A in Strategic Communications, I interned at two top Public Relations firms in the heart of Washington, D.C. Through these positions, I learned how to build powerful strategic PR campaigns that seek to maximize customer satisfaction and exceed organizational goals. I also gained strong experience in developing social media content, delivering operational reports across different departments and assisting with account executives’ workloads.
I have a vast set of skills in visual art, including both digital and material art forms. I began experimenting with visual art, especially drawing, painting, and cinematography, at a young age. At Elon, I honed my skills in digital media by volunteering my time as a storyboard designer and assistant cinematographer at CinElon, the University’s cinema department. There, I worked on projects like the Coca-Cola Regal Films Competition, providing creative direction for a team that placed fourth nationally for Best Submission. Through real-world internship experience, I have also learned an array of programs in Adobe products, as well as with 3D animation software in Blender.

I have created Digital Strategy for my clients to effectively speak on behalf of their stakeholders and represent their voices in a digital landscape. I also produced social and digital media for my clients so that they would be able to more efficiently interface with their own client base. In addition to introducing new social media strategies to these companies, I also conducted extensive research on the role and potential applications of social media in today’s digital media-driven world.
Throughout my work experience and college career, I have been able to work on a variety of projects, which required being able to quickly identify and research the content that most appropriately aligned with companies’ viewpoints. During my time working with political organizations at Elon and my later internship in Washington, D.C., I ensured that all media posts and articles were in line with each organization’s core values. This type of media management helped me develop a client-centric, individualized, and detail-oriented approach to every project that I will carry with me as my professional career moves forward.
